Component Model No/ID |
Description |
Common Issues |
| Laser Power Supply |
HY-ESA80 |
Main power supply that provides the CO2 laser tube power |
|
| 36V Power Supply |
H120-36 |
Power supply which gives power to the drivers |
|
| JMD Power Supply |
JMD30-2412 |
Powers the LED and water pump. |
|
| Water Pump |
TL-B10/S-A12-0905 |
Pumps water through the tube to cool the laser tube. |
Can have the water tubes improperly installed. |
| Water Flow Switch |
2004200062601 |
Ensures enough water is flowing into the tube. It will tell the machine if there is not enough water flowing through, enabling the water protect signal. |
The flow switch can malfunction. It is the most common component to stop working properly. To prove this you must bypass the flow switch and see if the laser can still fire. If so, a new switch is needed. |
| X and Y Drivers |
KD-2MD420 |
Sends signals to the X and Y stepper motors. |
Sometimes the x and y driver shorts, thus sending the motor improper signals. This would cause the laser print to be distorted. The solution would be to send new drivers. |
| Fan |
HC12038HB |
Keeps machine cool and expels hot air. |
|
| Control Panel |
RDC6442S-B |
User interface which allows you to control the machine, this is connected directly to the controller |
It is possible for the button contacts to malfunction. This will make it difficult for the user to press down buttons. A new control panel will be needed. |
| EMI Filter |
FT121-10 |
Filters out noise that may have gained passing through the outlet sources (air pump, etc.) |
|
| Contact Blocks |
ZB2-BE102C |
To connect the e-stop and key switch to the system. |
|
| LED Lights |
9290023146 |
Lights up the workspace. |
|
| Controller |
RDC6442S-B(EC) |
Controls various components within the machine. |
A lot of short circuiting issues. Troubleshooting required whenever investigating controller issues. |
| CO2 Laser Tube |
RECIT75 |
Tube which fires the laser. |
Laser tube can lose power over time. If you put masking tape in the laser path to test laser and the laser leaves a faint mark or no mark, a new tube is needed. |
| Stepper Motors |
42-H250C13 |
Used to move the laser head around the workspace. |
N/A |
| Temperature Guage |
FY5135B |
Determines the temperature of the water to indicate whether or not the water is hot. |
When the temperature gauge shows HHH, it either means the signal wires are touching each other, or the probe itself is damaged due to either moisture buildup within the probe, exposure to extreme heat or severe twisting/bending of the probe wire. This indicates that the temperature gauge is now defective due to some sort of short and must be replaced. |
| Inductive Limit Switch |
SN04-N |
Component which tells the machine what the size of the workspace is. These switches are also used to tell whether any of the panels are open. |
Shorting within the inductive limit switch can cause limit switch to send incorrect or no signal to the controller. |
| SN1812 Laser Power Supply |
MYJG40W |
Main power supply from the laser tube in the 1812 machine. |
